How did you create your username?

Postby RabbitSnore on Wed Mar 19, 2008 10:22 am

Always one of my favorite threads.

So yeah. I didn't think my usual online handle was quite appropriate for the silliness of poop and my gaming handle had been taken on Youtube, so I wanted to create a new one. I tried thinking of two remote concepts and juxtaposing them. Hence Rabbit and Snore. That's when I made my Youtube account, and since then, a lot of people have come to know me as Rabbit.

NOW SHARE WITH THE CLASS.

I always wanted to come with an original username.

All the others I made up sucked.

It wasn't until a few years ago, I finally came up with one.

With the word "miscellaneous", meaning variety, or random to represent my randomness and with my middle name Elaine......

Miscellaneous + Elaine = Misselaineous

The ten at the end I sometimes add if it's already taken. Plus it's my favorite number. =D
ImageImageSluggy might propose.

Ah the secret of Yawackhary, a name that I had for three years finally revealed.

When I was on Sonic Vegemite (when I mainly lurked on websites) , I needed a witty name for the hoax section so I thought of the name Zachary, the word wacky, an obscure game called Wackhary and a yak. First I though of Yackhary but it realised that I don't do much talking so it became YaWackhary (then for some reason the capital W got lost in the shuffle).

Even since then I generally use this name but there was a time that I mispelt it as Yawachary or Yawackary until I rechecked my spelling on Vegemite. I even gave it a fake defination Yawackhary = quality in Yawackhian langauge.

Furnessly in comparison was a lazy name since it was just basically Matt Furniss a chiptune composer but changed the i to an e and added ly. I made this to differenate from my gamer name and my researcher name (Spelunker).

Which do you prefer? Furnessly or Yawackhary?

I don't really have a preference (like both names equally) but Yawackhary is more often used so I go for that one. Oh, I forgot about Mr. Yawackhary that was used in the early days of TSR (you can easily find this on any Simpsons sheets ripped by Random Talking Bush).

I'm probably going to call you Furnessly, since that's what I'm used to.

WOOT! it all started when i thought this name was special.of course i realized later, such was not the case, it was just a name that happened to never be taken. but i got into the habit of capitalizing the S and M to make sure people could discern what my name said, and it became so natural to type theSadMushroom in, that it became my screen name for alot of shit. when my youtube account got suspended. i just changed some stuff aaround and blammo, theHappyFungus. when i got featured conrad changed my name, and it has grown on me ever since.

I came up with it when I was trolling a Harry Potter 7 predictions blog post.

I took the letter U, and then added thirteen R's to it.

I wanted to come up with a hillarious sound. At first I wanted do go with "VROOOOOOOM", but "URRRRRRRRRRRRR" stuck out to me.

And so the name was born.

Well, sometimes I like to make up weird sounding names or words for no reason. Like the name MANH ABRA.

I had made up Whelt because I like the wh use in words (whip, white, when, what, where, etc). I think it came from welt, which is somewhat of an obscure word, and putting in the wh instead of just w. The name was already created in my mind for a while, and then I made my Youtube account. I remembered the name, and just used it. Now I've been using it for most everything else since, and I haven't found one instance of it being taken already.
