This is a rant, though it's about a game.

So I don't know where to put this.

I'll just do my best to make this work, and hopefully no one will end up dead.

Anywhos, on to the rant.

Resident Evil 4 is one of, if not, one of the most boring games I have ever played. What makes it even worse is the fact that it's SUPPOSED to be a fucking SCARY game. Oh, wow, shoot a bunch of possessed farmers. I hope I don't get nightmares.

The plot is sub-par. Though, it does make for a nice plan.

I also can't say I cared much for any of the characters. Seeings how you never learn much about them, and they have little to no character development through-out the entire game. Hell, Ashley could have raped/killed by zombies and Leon could have failed the mission and returned back to an America that was over-run with possossed people.

Speaking of Ashley, she's the most annoying tag-along character ever created. She's so hopelessly useless to you, that she can't even get her white-ass down a fucking LADDER without needing help from you. Not to mention she's unable to do anything except get carried away in the face of an enemy.

Resident Evil 4 is also one of those games that likes to give you little to no explanation of how things happened. Krauser is just there, basically, from what you're told. It's the same with "Las Plaugas" (Or 'The Plauge', which isn't even said in correct Spanish.)

Anyways, the game lacks everything a Zombie game should. First you shoot a bunch of fucking farmers, who only pack so deadly as some dynomite and chainsaws. I'd have to say the Church would be the stranger place on the game. With the weird chanting and blood/satanic glyphs all over.

Though once things start looking up on the "Creepy-meter" you end up getting out of the Church to find yet MORE farmers (Who havn't changed a BIT since your first encounters. Still the same weapons and everything.) Than you only move to an Island- where possesed ARMY MEN await you. Great, I thought I was playing a ZOMBIE game- not a WAR game. Which it feels JUST like when you're fighting the army soldiers. The bosses, though more odder looking, are very unoriginal. Especially when they're big. It seems like "The bigger they are, the less creative they are." That water-monster thing looked like a fucking turd-with-teeth, for God's sake.

Now, I'm not one to get scared or anything from a VIDEO GAME. But I atleast don't want to sit there and say 'Wow, how directly opposite of scary and original.'

For more pointlessness, you have characters like Ada Wong and Luis. Who, even in their little "story modes", are not explained just why or what they're doing. Lovely.

And in the end, what happens? The island and Saddler blow up, and Leon and Ashley just ride out on a fucking jet-ski. In the middle of the ocean. Going back to land. On a jet-ski, With no land in sight. With one tank of gas. On a jet-ski. The end.

The wosrt part was that I wasn't even fighting actual Zombies, god damn it. Just a bunch of possesed poor-people.

Though, I must say, the ending credits with it's picture-by-picture event reel of what happened to the Farmers before the infestation was fairly off-setting and was one of the better editions to the game. Though that hardly made up for the fact the game has no replay values, outside from getting some weapons. Whoopy.
