Is your Land Master broken? Someone might be able to help you fix it.

Reduce file size in Premiere.

Postby URRRRRRRRRRRRR on Mon Mar 17, 2008 1:14 pm

The subject pretty much says it all.

When I make a one and a half minute video (roughly), it takes it about fifteen minutes just to save it. Not only that, it comes out around 300+ megs.

Ridiculous? Yeah. My near 10 minute video was 2 gigs. You know I ran that through Movie Maker and deleted the original.

How can I change this?

Export it as a WMV file.

I think you've been exporting it as an AVI file, which is pretty big.
ImageImageSluggy might propose.

You know, youtube now has a mega-file uploader to where you can upload stuff from 0 megs to 2 gigs

Don't be DUMB, it's stupid upload a large file like that, if you can export it to a better format.

I use WMV 1 mbps, but you can export to 2 mbps because YouTube is updating his videos in high quality

Don't do anything on your PC while exporting, that can make the sound go out of sync
