Would there be a way to set topics in the spam forum to purge themselves after a certain date? Say, when a threads gets 7 days old, it gets deleted automatically.

Actually, depending on how the forum works, it COULD be possible. Unfortunately, I don't know how a forum works, but I have a hunch there is a class Topic created every time new topic is made. If so, and if I could tamper with the actual Topic class, I could probably add a timer that removes the thread in seven days. Assuming Topic is a class with methods and variables however. But I don't know how forums work, like I said, so I can't say for fure.

Sweet. You should learn how these forums work from Dopply, and then you could do that. But first you have to go through Rabbit and TINS.

Yes, forum pruning is built into the software. It's quite easy to use in fact. We may implement that. Of course, that's the least of our worries right now.

Thanks largely to Miss10, the site is right now in very good shape.

I'd like to put some finishing touches on it tonight (my time which is EST). So we'll still be on PF until tomorrow or late tonight most likely.

I also want to discuss several things with the mod staff before we open up shop again.
