Planet Freedom

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to open up this new section of the forum. It’s a section that I always wanted but was always uneasy to start.

Indeed, the fate of Planet Freedom and YouChewPoop are tenuous at the moment, but I figure that adding another forum of discussion can’t hurt too badly.

That being said, I’d like to avoid this section hurting badly for anyone.

Writing is a touchy subject for many, and this is a forum of a great deal of silliness. For a lot of people, including many on this forum I’m sure, writing is a form of expression that can be especially personal and emotional. For that reason, flaming in this section will not be tolerated. If you post your writing in this section, you must accept criticism however. If someone doesn’t like your work, they have a right to say so. Let me clarify what I mean by flaming: Flaming is any vastly ungrounded or excessively mean criticism. Generally, you know it when you see it. The difference between flaming and fine criticism is the difference between “This fails so much I want to die,” and “Bleh, it’s not my taste.” The latter being fine, the former unacceptable.

Flame in this section, and you’re on your way to being banned, which is frankly something I would hate to do.

In any case, I invite you to post your stories, poems, fanfics (heaven help you), or whatever in this section for praise and critique.

My school essays are considered college-level, I can write those, but I completely fail at fiction.

I'm notorious for my essay criticism, and I'd even go so far as to help people write essays for school.

I'd have to implement a strict rule against plagiarism though.

Normally, if someone posted some horrid fanfic, I'd be happy to flame them into the ground with all kinds of macros and shit, but in the interest of actually getting people to post here, I have to hold the flaming back.
